Increase Social Bookmarking on Your Blog by 200% With These Magic Words

Increase Social Bookmarking on Your Blog by 200% With These Magic Words

There is one simple blog marketing tip that I know of that is very simple to implement and at the same time appears to be very effective. It is a technique that I have been constantly using which seems to be significantly increasing the number of times that people socially bookmark my blog posts. You see, people are in the habit of placing icons on their blogs and websites that allow people to bookmark the content through different social bookmarking websites such as Delicious, Furl, Yahoo Bookmarks, etc. Needless to say, this is a really great idea! The more your blog and/or website is bookmarked, the more exposure your business will get across the web.

Now, just the simple act of placing those icons doesn’t mean that people will go ahead and bookmark your site. Your chances are a lot higher with those icons, but it still takes someone a little bit of effort to go ahead and decide to bookmark your website. But what I have seen some people do on their blogs to increase bookmarking is probably the most effective thing discussed thus far!

So what have a select few been doing? Well, people have been using the “magic words” in order to increase bookmarking. Most of the time, this doesn’t even come through an elaborate use of these magic words. Sometimes I will see people simply say “Please Bookmark,” and then supply the icons at the end of the blog post. Now, most people wouldn’t find these words particularly interesting, but the first time I saw somebody do this it reminded me of an effective technique that people use in video marketing.

You see, in video marketing a lot of people will ask people at the end of their videos to simply rank, comment, or share the video with other people. It is not odd to see a video with this type of request to have 1 out of 30 viewers rank the video. When comparing these numbers to videos that don’t ask you to rank, comment, or share the video, many of these videos struggle to get 1 out of 200 people to rank the video, and it may sound silly of me to suggest this, but I think the reason why is that people are a lot more likely to rank a video if you simply just ask them to do so!

So, what does this mean for a blog or website? Yes folks! I am suggesting that if you simply ask people kindly to bookmark your blog, then they will be a whole lot more likely to do it than if you had just provided them with the social bookmarking links.

Now, my hypothesis is that if your blog post has some really great content, and THEN you ask them to bookmark your page, you will probably have the highest chances of people bookmarking your webpage. I believe that if people feel like that you provided them with that great content, then they might even feel like that they owe you the favor to simply bookmark your webpage. And if you get enough people to do this, then you will get even more and more free traffic to your website. And it will all be because you remembered to say the magic words!

A Quick Guide to Help You Social Bookmark Your Blog Posts

A Quick Guide to Help You Social Bookmark Your Blog Posts

Social bookmarking can provide your home business with many benefits. Traffic though is the major benefit of bookmarking all of your blog posts. Many beginners are not familiar with the social bookmarking process. Here’s a few tips to help.

Let me first start by explaining what social bookmarking is and why it is important to social bookmark all of your blog posts. Quite simply stated, social bookmarking will bring your blog more traffic. As internet marketers, that it exactly what we are all after. Social bookmark sites allow us to share our favorite sites with others who might be interested as well as increasing our back links at the same time.

All the links that you leave have the potential to bring traffic back to your blog. As you begin to regularly submit your link to authority social bookmarking sites, like Digg, Twitter, and Stumbleupon, your blog will benefit greatly by moving up rank rapidly in the search engines for your selected keywords.

Now just a quick tutorial on how to easily social bookmark your blog posts.

Finding a list of social bookmarks to submit to is your first item of agenda. There are plenty around, just do a Google search or go to SocialMarker.com.

Next you have to sign up at each bookmarking site. This process may take up to an hour but keep in mind that you are only going to have to go through this process one time.

Once you have enrolled in all 40 or so social sites it’s time to submit your first blog post. The easiest way to do this is to type out your blog posts url, title, description, and tags in a separate window, preferably in Notepad, Article Notepad, or Wordpad. Any of the above will work.

Once you have the info typed out, go ahead and cascade the notepad and your browser so that they are side by side on your monitor. (If you are using SocialMarker you won’t have to use this method.)

Make sure the list of social sites is up and open on your browser, then right click and open the first ten or so sites in a new tab. If your computer is fast enough you can go ahead and open all the sites. If not, just open as much as your computer will allow.

Now all you have to do is click and drag the required info when submitting your blog post.

Close it and move to the next once you include all of the needed info.

That’s it! That’s all that is involved with social bookmarking. A simple little task like this may take an hour a day but will greatly increase the amount of traffic you receive to your blog.

Keep in mind though that some social sites will penalize you for submitting too many of your own blog posts. Find some friends or peers and take turns submitting each others posts.

Whatever you do, do not under estimate the power of social bookmarking. Try to make it a point to submit one blog post a day. Doing so will really make a huge difference in the traffic you’re going to see as a result.

Proven Tips Tools and Tactics To Blog Rss

When you’re learning about something new, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of relevant information available. This informative article should help you focus on the central points.

The best way to automate your complete process of social bookmarking is available at bookmarking demon. Also – automated social bookmarking is the best way to take your search engine ranking to the highest level in no time at all.

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a tool useful for saving or retaining updated information on websites that you frequently visit or websites that are your favorite. RSS utilizes an XML code which scans continuously the content or subject matter of a certain website in search for new informations then transmits the information updates by way of feeding the information to subscribers.RSS feeds are generally being utilized in blogs or news sites, though any website wanting to broadcast and publish information can use them. Once new information is sent, it will contain a headline, a little bit of text, and either a rundown or a brief review of the news or story. A link is needed be clicked upon to read further. So as to accept RSS feeds, a feed reader is needed, called an aggregator. Aggregators are widely and freely available online, and all that is needed is a bit of searching, you will be able to locate a certain interface that best interest you. What’s more, RSS feeds can likewise be read and retrieved from cell phones and on PDAs. Once you encounter upon a website that you want to add or insert to the aggregator, the process can be done in two ways. Almost all sites offering an RSS feed displays an “RSS” or “XML” button in their homepage and with one click, it promptly add that particular feed to one’s aggregator. Some aggregator however, requires the need to copy and then paste the URL of the feed unto the program. Whatever the method used, you can be certain that the feed will be accessible soon as you have inserted it, likewise, in just seconds, the next update can arrive. In the event that you do not anymore would want to accept or take in updates, you may simply delete or erase the feed from the aggregator.Through e-mail subscriptions, you can receive newsletters. RSS feeds on the other hand, can be more convenient in keeping up with newsletter updates since they are prompt and available in an instant; you no longer have to wait for a scheduled time or day to obtain a news summary, plus, these news will never be detained through a spam filter. RSS feeds are widely used everyday by individuals who understand and appreciate the accessibility of fast reports and news that can be readily read and only read certain updates that appeals to them.Aggregators Now that we’ve covered those aspects of Blog RSS, let’s turn to some of the other factors that need to be considered. Aggregators are popular use of feeds, having several kinds. Web aggregators or portals as they are sometimes called, create this view which is then made available in a Web page. Also, Aggregators have been incorporated into e-mail patrons, users of desktops, or dedicated and standalone software.Offering a collection of special features, such as combining more than a few related feeds in just a single view, hiding certain entries or statements that has been already viewed, and classifying entries and feeds, the aggregator is a versatile component. Why make a feed available? You will have more viewers, since now, your viewers can conveniently see your site without even going out and looking for that certain site. While at first, it may seem corrupt, it will in fact enhance the visibility of your site; this is so because users can easily keep up or keep tract with your site, to allow them to view in a way that they want to; it’s more probable that guests are aware should something that is in their interest is available or accessible on your site. For instance, every month your website broadcasts a new feature. Having no feed, your viewers will always have to keep in mind to go to your site in a certain time to see if they discover something new; that is, if they can remember, and if they still have the time. However, if you supply a feed for your viewers, they can just point to their aggregator and it will instantly provide them a link along with a description of happenings or events at your site immediately. What format to choose?Syndication is very confusing as it uses a lot of formats that can usually be come across in the web. However, this can easily be solved as in general, syndicated libraries are used by aggregators which conceptualize a particular format that a feed is in, in order that they can utilize a certain syndication feed. With this, whatever format to pick is just a matter of personal preference. RSS 1.0 is far reaching, and practical should it be integrated into Semantic Web systems. RSS 2.0 is very easy and simple create by hand. And atom is an IETF Standard, does it brings constancy, stability and a natural and accepted community to support its usage. When word gets around about your command of Blog RSS facts, others who need to know about Blog RSS will start to actively seek you out. http://www.article-ecommerce.com/articles/Blogging-RSS

The Easiest Way To Social Bookmark A Blog Article

social bookmarking
by Yandle

The Easiest Way To Social Bookmark A Blog Article

If you have done any type of marketing on the Internet you understand the importance of getting traffic back to your website or blog. This can be more difficult to do than it sounds. However, if you have a blog you should be social bookmarking all of your blog posts, and we are going to talk about the easiest way to do that in this article.

When you social bookmark a blog post you are creating a back link back to your blog. In the past getting back links to your site could have been done in various ways including reciprocal linking, classified ads, article directories, ezine advertising, discussion forums, and so on.

Your goal was, and is, to get your website URL in his many different places as possible. The more back links you had the more opportunities there were for people to find you.

Now when you blog, you can social bookmark your blog article much like you were submitting an article to an article directory, except it is easier to do.

The easiest way I know to do that is to join as many social directories as you possibly can. One place you can quickly do that is on a website, at Onlywire.

There you will find over 20 directories that you can join in one location. Then you can go to your only wire account and submit your newest blog article with one click.

They then take the information that you give them and turn around and bookmark it to all of the directories for you. The great thing about the service is they do not charge anything for it.

The hardest part is joining the 20 directories, initially, and that does not take that long to do. From here on out you are now going to be getting back links to your blog URL in over 20 directories every time you submit your newest blog post to your Only Wire account.

These back links serve two purposes. First of all there is potential traffic from the social directory back to your blog.

Secondly, they serve as search engine bait for the search engines to find the newest blog post to. If a search engine likes what you are writing they can rank you high, which gives you additional traffic from them as well.

Social bookmarking your blog articles to as many directories as possible is a smart thing to do. Certainly one of the easiest ways to bookmark a blog article is Onlywire.

‘Social Bookmarking’ As An Aggressive and Acceptable Blog Marketing Tactic

‘Social Bookmarking’ As An Aggressive and Acceptable Blog Marketing Tactic

Social bookmarking websites are becoming more and more popular. They allow you to save bookmarks online and Tag/Categorize them with keywords instead of saving them as bookmarks in the favorite’s list of your browser. This is particularly useful when your browser based bookmarks have become unwieldy. It’s also help since you can access your bookmarks from any computer where you have an internet connection.

I have compiled a list of Social Bookmarking websites from a number of sources. You can find it in the resource box at the end of this article.

Once you have bookmarked them, you can view them, sort them by category/keyword as well as see links from others that have been categorized like yours.

You also establish RSS feeds for each category (tag) that you ‘subscribe’ to. This alerts you to new links in your areas of interest. Your bookmark collection/RSS Feed becomes viewable to others who can also copy your bookmarks to their own collection. So now you can aggressively promote your RSS feed to the RSS Directories and Search engines, syndicate them and make them available to a much wider audience.

Social bookmarking sites also help you to meet other people who are interested in the same topics you are and who may also have knowledge of web resources that you don’t.

On Social Bookmarking sites, you first create an account. Then you bookmark interesting and useful things in the area of your interest or expertise. By doing so you create a useful Feed. Once you’ve done that you intermittently, (or aggressively), add useful and interesting items, (that could use additional exposure), from your own content. Make an honest effort to contribute USEFUL information and links. This is all about sharing and exposure. Done properly, you can be as aggressive as you want to be about sharing information. You can share your blog(s), links to your informational/resource sites etc. Think about the fact that when you share links to other’s resources, you’re also effectively promoting their content as well.

This is a way you can aggressively and ethically promote your content and the content of others. I personally have hundreds of gigabytes of my own information and information of others, connected to my notebook. In the final analysis, it’s doing me no good what-so-ever just sitting there. But by organizing it, online, I can help myself, (getting organized, getting my content exposed, etc.) and help others at the same time.

If you spice up your feed with too much sales and marketing related or self promotional stuff, people can and will easily drop their subscription to your feed. And instead of gaining good will and doing a service to the internet community you could get labeled as a spammer and suffer the consequences.

So while being aggressive is possible and acceptable, being careful to consider the best interest of the community is certainly warranted.

Balancing being ethical and providing a useful service to others with promoting your own content enables you to be as aggressive as you like. But remember, in the final analysis, others will make the decision on whether it’s ethical and useful or spam.

Add Video To Your Website Or Blog To Increase Its Value

Over the years we’ve heard a lot about how to give your web site more value. At first everyone said to put lots of interesting information on your site and you would see a stampede of visitors come your way.

The best way to automate your complete process of social bookmarking is available at bookmarking demon. Also – automated social bookmarking is the best way to take your search engine ranking to the highest level in no time at all. Then we were told to dress our sites and blogs up with logos, graphics, and photos. That helped to bring traffic, too. Finally we were told to give your sites all the right keywords to bring in the utmost in search engine traffic. By now, that technique has been used just about everywhere it can be.Now, the Internet is moving to a different phase. Increasingly, top sites are using video to increase their value and bring in lots of traffic. Think about the last time you logged into Amazon or CNN. You very likely were greeted with a professional-looking video that started up on the page and relayed a movie preview or news report. In the past, you would have to hire a video production house to create, process, host, and post your video, all at a cost of thousands of dollars. But not any more. Now you can have that same kind of professional video on your site or blog for a price that fits any budget. It’s relatively easy to create using low-cost equipment commonly sold for home use.In the course I teach, I show students how to use Hollywood tricks to transform any space in your house into what looks like a National TV studio. You can do this for under $97, camera not inlcuded. Now that’s an advantage for your site or blog that you shouldn’t pass up.What should your site or blog video be?* Interview yourself or an expert, giving information that your visitors would find interesting.* A demonstration of how to use your product or service.* A high-tech, entertaining addition to your ebook or instructional CD.We live in the television age, when just about everybody would rather look at a video that SHOWS them how to do something rather than have to read about it or listen to someone tell them aboutit.A video gives you much higher response and a far better informed customer base. When people really understand what you are offering and what you can do for them, making sales (often at a higher price) is far easier.

How Social Bookmarking May Increase FREE Blog Traffic

How Social Bookmarking May Increase FREE Blog Traffic

Social Bookmarking, After you set up a blog and start adding some posts, you will want to get the word out. To do that, you can use social bookmarking, which is just a way of tagging that blog post into areas that collect information from all over the web. It works about the same as when you bookmark a site in your web browser for yourself, except for social bookmarking you are doing it to a social storage area where many people can see what you’ve bookmarked. People who subscribe to these services and are searching for specific content have an easier time finding it then.

The nice thing about social bookmarking is that people can comment and rate the bookmarks that you add to a social networking site. In this way, you can have great exposure for a site and allow others to add their own ideas to it too. An example of a social bookmarking site is del.ici.ous.

News, If your blogs are more about current events, the latest technologies, or even politics, than you will want to use social news sites like Digg.com. These sites offer round-the-clock news and can be particularly popular with news hounds. They show up to comment and rate stories and depending on their popularity, you can land on the front page and get lots of traffic! So, be sure to use this site if your blog is appropriate for it.

Tags, When you write up a post, the blog interface will have a place for you to put tags in to identify what the article is about. You can simply type in some key words there, or you can use a plug-in like SimpleTags to help you identify good tag keywords. Either way, the more relevant the key words and the more searchable, the easier it is for people to find your blog. So, be sure to add that information in if you want to attract people to your blog.

Comments, As you begin to understand the blog world, you will start to develop relationships with other bloggers. You can use that networking to help you create more traffic for your site simply by going to other blogs and commenting on a popular entry. When you comment, many blogs automatically put in your blog URL in where your name appears, if you are in the same community. And, you can also use html to add your own link to an article that might be relevant to the post.

People who come to read the other blog will read the comments and if your’s is interesting they may follow your link or click on your name. Either way, this will produce much more traffic for you than simply sticking to your own blog.

RSS Feed

This feature is automatic on WordPress blogs and a plug-in in other blogs. You should have it enabled because it allows people to subscribe to your RSS feed. This feed gets sent to their newsreader every time you update your blog, so it keeps people motivated to keep visiting, but only when new content is posted. The more regularly you update your blog, the more frequent the RSS feed is updated and the more people visit your blog.

Get Traffic For Your Blog , Using Social Bookmarking Sites

Get Traffic For Your Blog , Using Social Bookmarking Sites

Whether your blog is a space for political discussion or a gathering place for people who raise beta fish, you’ve already realized that the more traffic you can generate, the better! Not only will your blog have an active community, but if you have pay per click advertising on your blog, every visitor is a bit of extra cash in your pocket. There are many ways to generate traffic to your site, and it is just a matter of finding one that suits your site and your personal style.

One innovative way to get the clicks where you want them is take part in a social bookmarking site. If you have not yet heard of the phenomenon, there are sites where you can store your list of bookmarks online. This is convenient for the person who’s always hopping from computer to computer; you’ll always have all the information you need at your very fingertips. Even better, you can make your bookmarks public; you can share things like your favorite news sites, or your top ten favorite webcomics. The big advantage to this sort of service comes when you realize that you are an expert. Make a list of bookmarks that feature other sites that are like yours and make it public.

Social bookmarking sites work because of the selection involved. As more people become wise to the concept of search engine optimization, they are a lot more wary of the first ten hits that come up when they check Google or Yahoo. Social bookmarking works because it has the endorsement of another real person. A real community can spring up around the idea of social bookmarking and it becomes a network of people who are trading information. With the right list of bookmarks made public, it will take a very small amount of time before your blog will be getting more hits than ever before.

To get started with social bookmarking, there are a number of sites that you can go to. http://www.technorati.com/ is one of the first sites to take advantage of this phenomenon and the interface is quite usable. You’ll find more technical bookmarked lists here, which is ideal if you have a blog on computers, televisions, or general gadgetry. At http://www.stumbleupon.com/ you will find a more social atmosphere, and there is more of a focus on entertainment. If you have a blog on the latest celebrity doings or even of your photography, this might be the place for you. Though it might look less polished than the other two, http://del.icio.us/ packs a lot punch with a history that goes back almost five years. Del.icio.us is a wonderful place for almost anything you might want to find and more and more people are using it to find the information they need.

This is also a good way to find out how people are coming to your blog. What searches are they using to get there? Once you can pinpoint that, you can can tailor your blog to meet the demand and receive more traffic as well. Many blogs also offer subscriptions, which will tell readers when you have updated, and in this way, with a list of readers at your disposal, you can play your content to an audience that you know better.

Social bookmarking is a trend that any blogger who wants more traffic to his site should take advantage of and with sites like Technorati, Stumbleupon and Del.icio.us, you have many avenues waiting for your personal touch.

Try Social Bookmarking To Generate Back Links For Promoting Your Blog

Try Social Bookmarking To Generate Back Links For Promoting Your Blog

Social bookmarking to generate back links is an essential method for promoting your blog. Surprisingly, a lot of bloggers neglect to implement this strategy. If you want to be successful at blogging, then you must get involved in social bookmarking to gain backlinks for your blog posts.

Social bookmarking to gain links is very easy to do and involves posting the particulars of your blog post on several social bookmarking sites.

First of all, you need to be blogging consistently. If you are extremely busy, then you can post one or two articles per week, and doing this will be way better than doing nothing.

This is OK if you stick to your schedule. Just don’t let your blog lie dormant for long time periods as this will erode away any benefits that you have already gained.

Each blog post can be bookmarked to all of the top social directories, as time permits. If you want, you can add a plug in which will cause your posts to be automatically bookmarked to the top sites every time you post.

One of the best free bookmarking services is Onlywire.com. With this service, you can bookmark to over 20 of the top social sites with one mouse click.

It will take a little bit of time to sign up with all of the bookmarking sites within Onlywire, but it will be well worth your time to do so and you will only have to do it once.

Make sure when you bookmark your blog posts to include relevant keywords that are associated with the article. It is therefore important to produce high quality articles which contain targeted keyword phrases.

To get the most out of your blogging, you will first of all, want to generate a list of targeted long tail keyword phrases. Next, write each blog post using the keyword phrase as the central theme of the article. When you bookmark your blog posts, create a short summary that includes the keyword phrase and don’t forget to place the keyword in the tags portion of the bookmark.

You will start to understand how valuable social bookmarking to increase back links is for your blogging when you see the resulting traffic. This traffic will not only come from the social directories, but also from the better search engine rankings which you will receive.

Social bookmarking to generate backlinks is extremely effective. Learn more at Work From Home Opportunity and sign up for our free Internet marketing newsletter. Don’t forget to visit John Baril’s online training blog at Online Marketing Promotion
