New Dofollow Social Bookmarking Website

New Dofollow Social Bookmarking Website

Social bookmarking is not something that is new. It has been around for a few years now, and more and more online visitors are using such sites for bookmarking and sharing their favorite sites. That is the primary function of social bookmarking – to keep track of useful and interesting websites, and to share them with family and friends.

To share means being able to post bookmarks publicly. When you use a social bookmarking website, you first need to create an account. Creating an account is free, and will just take a couple of minutes. Once you have an account, you may then add as many bookmarks as you want. There may be additional software available to help you bookmark sites more conveniently (like a toolbar). However, it is not mandatory to install such software. You can just add a link to your web browser to help you bookmark URLs.

It wasn’t long before Internet marketers started to target social bookmarking sites to perform SEO. You see, SEO (short for Search Engine Optimization) requires the Internet marketer to build as many inbound links as possible. There are many different ways to build links, and some are easier to execute than others. For example, marketers submit URLs to a bunch of well established web directories in an attempt to get as many inbound links as possible in the shortest possible time.

Some of them then moved on to social bookmarking, with the primary intention getting their sites to rank higher in the search engines. However, because of such practices, the user experience of the social bookmarking sites has taken on a different form. Users are now posting bookmarks not because they like the content or the sites. The bookmarks are there because of SEO.

Now the community doesn’t care about SEO. The social bookmarking sites are released to help others find great content. So SEO doesn’t really align itself with the goals of the major social bookmarking websites.

In addition, to prevent marketers from manipulating the search results, Google has announced that they will enforce the “nofollow” policy. In other words, all links with the attribute “nofollow” in them will not be crawled, and there will be no benefit whatsoever for these links.

The social bookmarking sites welcome this move tremendously, and soon, most sites started to implement “nofollow” links.

Of course, this doesn’t stop the Internet marketers from using social bookmarking to help increase their link counts. This is, after all, the Internet. Everyday, new social bookmarking sites like Masyt are springing up. And the good news is, these sites are still “DoFollow”! For instance, Masyt is a DoFollow social bookmarking site that has already acquired a Page Rank of 1. That means anyone who submit a link to the site will enjoy all the SEO benefits that come with the link.

What is Social Bookmarking and How Can it Help my Website?

What is Social Bookmarking and How Can it Help my Website?

Social bookmarking has been around for a couple of years, but for me, it’s a whole new concept as I learn more and more about internet marketing and how best to get traffic to my site and blog. It is a process that is becoming more and more popular as a means of generating traffic and page rank, so it’s something I want to get started with right away! Most of us who own a PC know that when we come across a website that we like, we can add that site to our list of favorites or bookmark it for our own future use. Social bookmarking takes that organizational process a step further by making public the list of sites you frequent. This article will discuss what social bookmarking really is, its advantages, and how it can help your website.

What is social bookmarking? As mentioned above, social bookmarking is a system of organizing websites that you want to re-visit, but rather than bookmarking them in a folder on your computer, you bookmark them on a special social bookmarking website. If you do a Google search for “social bookmarking websites” you will find a list of the top social bookmarking sites that you can join to add your favorite sites to. The way you go about this is to use keywords that represent your favorite site’s content, or in other words, you “tag” it. You can then make your entries public or private. The ones that you make public can be seen by anyone who visits the social bookmarking sites and looks up the keywords you used to describe your bookmarked sites. The public display will also show who created the bookmark, when, and how popular those keywords are.

There are many advantages of using social bookmarking as opposed to simply bookmarking. By making your list of popular sites public, you have the ability to share information with others who are looking for the same type of information. They will be able to find a list of sites that display exactly what they want just by logging into a social bookmarking site and typing in some relevant keywords. This is a tremendous way of helping others find useful information, or sharing resources with a group of people. For example, a group of network marketers may want information on prospecting, so they would log in, type in “prospecting” and receive a list of bookmarked sites on “prospecting”, and other related topics, just like that! Not only will you find links to sites that you are interested in, but you can find out who has bookmarked your own site and how popular it is. Also, if you want to contact others who are interested in the same topics and sites as you, or know more about it than you, you can easily make a new connection with someone! How handy is that?

Aside from the benefits of resource sharing, social bookmarking can help generate traffic to your site and blog. You can set up your blog to link to your favorite tagged sites, and allow your blog visitors to easily bookmark your site. This will result in more traffic, possibly a better Google Page Rank, and potentially more sales! Some of the social bookmarking sites that you join allow you to add your bookmarks to your blog. In this way, your blog can be updated with tags and links on a daily basis! If you know how important it is to update your blog frequently to get the search engine spiders and traffic over to your site, then you will appreciate this feature! Not only that, but you can use your social bookmarking sites to post links to your website, thereby increasing your traffic and PR with a backlink from authority sites!

I have yet to discover the disadvantages of social bookmarking, but its advantages, as listed above, are enough to get me excited about this relatively new way of marketing my website and blog! I hope you are excited too, and will take action to improve your websites and blogs! You never know, you may even connect with an expert in your specialty area that can help you achieve your goals and dreams!

Add Video To Your Website Or Blog To Increase Its Value

Over the years we’ve heard a lot about how to give your web site more value. At first everyone said to put lots of interesting information on your site and you would see a stampede of visitors come your way.

The best way to automate your complete process of social bookmarking is available at bookmarking demon. Also – automated social bookmarking is the best way to take your search engine ranking to the highest level in no time at all. Then we were told to dress our sites and blogs up with logos, graphics, and photos. That helped to bring traffic, too. Finally we were told to give your sites all the right keywords to bring in the utmost in search engine traffic. By now, that technique has been used just about everywhere it can be.Now, the Internet is moving to a different phase. Increasingly, top sites are using video to increase their value and bring in lots of traffic. Think about the last time you logged into Amazon or CNN. You very likely were greeted with a professional-looking video that started up on the page and relayed a movie preview or news report. In the past, you would have to hire a video production house to create, process, host, and post your video, all at a cost of thousands of dollars. But not any more. Now you can have that same kind of professional video on your site or blog for a price that fits any budget. It’s relatively easy to create using low-cost equipment commonly sold for home use.In the course I teach, I show students how to use Hollywood tricks to transform any space in your house into what looks like a National TV studio. You can do this for under $97, camera not inlcuded. Now that’s an advantage for your site or blog that you shouldn’t pass up.What should your site or blog video be?* Interview yourself or an expert, giving information that your visitors would find interesting.* A demonstration of how to use your product or service.* A high-tech, entertaining addition to your ebook or instructional CD.We live in the television age, when just about everybody would rather look at a video that SHOWS them how to do something rather than have to read about it or listen to someone tell them aboutit.A video gives you much higher response and a far better informed customer base. When people really understand what you are offering and what you can do for them, making sales (often at a higher price) is far easier.

How Using Directories Can Get You More Targeted Website Traffic

How Using Directories Can Get You More Targeted Website Traffic

You have a lot of options as far as methods to drive traffic to your website is concerned; one method which has been in use for some time now is submitting links of your site to Web directories. A Web directory (also known as a link directory) is a directory of the World Wide Web and is somewhat similar to the yellow pages in the way that it lists websites (and links to them) by category. The idea of these sites is to present links to different sites in an easy to navigate format.

A web directory is different from a search engine in that their display of links is not pulled up by keywords (the search terms you type into an engine), instead listing websites by category. The category a particular website falls into depends on its content as a whole instead of the content of just one page or by keywords. This means that a website will only come up on one or two categories. Web directories allow site owners to submit their links; from there, an editorial team decides on the appropriate category for the site.

RSS directories are somewhat similar to Web directories, but have collections of RSS feeds instead of links to websites.

 Directories in General

There are directories which are very general, listing websites of all types in one place. There are also some niche directories which list web pages only in certain languages or are targeted towards one area of interest.

One popular general Web directory is the Open Directory Project. This is one of the best known Web directories; it is well liked for its large number of categories and large amount of listings in each. The ODP is also used by search engines and even other Web directories.

People often debate the usefulness of Web directories to websites; search engines use this information (particularly ODP’s) without really incorporating any of the data. Many search engines test using clustering, making them somewhat less useful for site owners. A lot of work has gone into building a simpler directory development process, using scripts to automate the link submission process or by using PHP. Social bookmarking software for the web has also brought new ideas to the process of categorization, through tagging websites by content (think about del.icio.us and other social bookmarking applications).

Why Use Directories For More Targeted Website Traffic?

Let us suppose that a website receives only a small amount of traffic from a directory as opposed to that coming in from search engines. However, you do not necessarily need to submit links to Web directories.

Targeted website traffic is more often the result of a directory search; someone looking through directories is likely to be looking for something in particular; something which meets a specific need. This targeted traffic is far more likely to be a prospective customer than is someone who just happens upon your site accidentally.

Search engines give a ranking to website or link directories, especially those which are niche-oriented. These niche directories are more commonly run by humans rather than by computers, making them a more reliable source of information – and the links within them more credible, since they are human-evaluated.

Guide To Create Social Bookmarking Website Using Scuttle

Guide To Create Social Bookmarking Website Using Scuttle

Scuttle is a free and open source social bookmarking software developed in PHP and MySQL and is available for download at many websites.

This is basic step by step guide to quickly set up your new scuttle social bookmarking website. Here the assumptions made are that you are already familiar with purchasing domain names and setting up hosting and MySQL databases. But if you do not have this experience then you can find the information about it  online.

1.First you need to have a domain to host the website on, you have three options here, preferably one with a name that suits the purpose although almost any name can be made to fit:

The quickest is to use a domain with a suitable name that you already own and is lying dormant or parked waiting for that big new project, unfortunately not everyone is that lucky.
The next quickest is to go to GoDaddy or a similar registrar and purchase a suitable domain.
The third and slowest method is to buy a deleting name with existing page rank from GoDaddy or similar auction sites. You will find that this may be the slowest method but gives you a head start regarding building up backlinks and page rank.

2.On next step, you will require some hosting, if you don’t already have hosting try my favorites: Dreamhost or Bluehost.
3.Now you will require to set up a database for Scuttle to use, make a note of the database name and sign on credentials.
4.Go to sourceforge website and just download the latest version of Scuttle to your hard drive. Unzip all the files at proper place. Look for the proper file to set up the Scuttle tables in your new database in your PC.
5.config.inc.php file is ready to edit which is using your new database details. There are few other options that can be configured also but for the moment this is all you need to do.
6.Now, just using an FTP utility like FileZilla or any other upload all the files and folders that you unzipped to the root directory of your domain.
7.Now you need  to set up the CHMOD permissions on the /cache subdirectory to 777.
8.You are done with this and ready to rock and roll! Now you need to go to the root directory of yournewdomain.com and then start entering some of your own bookmarks.

You will find that the social bookmarking crowd will find your site by searching for certain Scuttle unique keyword phrases such as “store, share and tag your favourite links” and “inurl:sort=url_asc”. However it is much better to speed up along the procedure by doing some social bookmarking of your own to get your website seen and indexed more quickly.

How to Increase Traffic to your Website

The importance of Website PromotionIncreasing traffic to your website can often be a very tedious and boring process, taking hours after hours of hard enduring work to get your name out there. Promoting your website on the internet is a big business nowadays and having a solid stream of traffic with a high search engine index can make your website take off. Whether you wish to promote your blogging website or have just started an online business and what to get your name out there, whatever website it is you wish to promote there are a few very handy tools out there to greatly aid you. If you have no clue what I am talking about, fear not as I will explain everything shortly. How to Promote your WebsiteOne of the easiest and most common ways to increase the traffic flow to your website is via bookmarking to social bookmarking sites. By doing this you are basically generating traffic by sharing links. All you need to do is specify keywords (otherwise known as TAGs) these tags will be searched by people looking specifically for a particular TAG. Imagine this, social bookmarking sites are viewed by millions every day, a huge number of people will search for specific TAGs and voila, your bookmark link appears and people visit your site. It really is that easy, and it gets even better. The keywords links you get to your site are unlimited so having more relevant keywords links will quite naturally increase result in higher search engine rankings for your site. Unfortunately doing this by hand for every single bookmarking site you wish to bookmark your site to, takes hours. Imagine having to do this every single day for all of your sites, it would drive you round the bend faster than you would think!Tools designed to Promote your WebsiteNow here is the good news, luckily there are programs designed to do all this (and more) at the touch of a button. The only thing you have to do is create an account at social bookmarking sites, its just a one time thing and a good program will assist you with that to make it even faster. The bad news once again is that there are a lot of useless over-priced tools out there that either spam the bookmarking sites or only work for certain websites. I myself have gone through all sorts of various tools and actually ended up wasting my money which to this day I still regret. However, I have recently found the tool of my dreams. I have used it for over a month now and it really is a top notch product. The product is called Bookmarking Demon, everything I explained here and all the problems I discussed are handled with ease with this program.View the entire Review and where to buy Bookmarking Demon here.

Factors determining better website positioning – via on page seo tactics techniques

On Page reasonsThese conditions all connect to your own site and include your website, page names, meta tags, keyword density, titles, headings and last but not least the content. The best way to automate your complete process of social bookmarking is available at bookmarking demon. Also – automated social bookmarking is the best way to take your search engine ranking to the highest level in no time at all.If you know how to optimize these, you will improve your chances of a better ranking. But, remember, there is no assurance as the exact formula (algorithm) used by the search engines is not known and is frequently changed.* Domain Name – Should contain the keyword phrase that describes your niche and not be hyphenated.  e.g www.bookmarkingdemon.biz* Page Names – Each page should be dedicated to a specific topic that is related to your main theme. The keyword(s) that best describe this should make up the page name (hyphens are ok for this).  e.g www.bookmarkingdemon.biz* Meta Tags – These are HTML tags contained in the head section of your page. You should include your keyword(s) near the beginning of each of these tags. The text for the TITLE tag and DESCRIPTION tag should be compelling, as this is what the visitor sees on the search results page and will influence their decision to click. debates can go on – for putting my keyword in keyword tags. but that should not be a problem if inserted once.* Keyword Density – there is no one perticular way in which to do it, but your keyword(s) should appear in your content between 1% and 3% of the time. e.g if your content is 500 words long, your keyword(s) should appear between 5 and 15 times. Too high a density could be seen as spamming.* Titles & Headings – Putting your keywords or derivatives of it into your titles and sub-headings confirms the importance of your keyword within your page. Using H1 and H2 tags for this purpose can also help.* Content – to avoid website spam penalty – you need to serve unique content to visitors.. If you get that right, you have a good chance of keeping some of the search engines happy for some of the time. Rather keep your visitors happy for 100% of the time! If you have done your research and kept your content on topic, you should automatically produce a good mix of theme related keywords and keyword density.A good idea is to get some help in the form of step by step instructions and coaching videos designed specifically for newbies.
